Hailey turned 8 !

She wanted to get her ears pierced for her birthday, so I took her to the mall for a mommy-daughter date. She was so nervous, but there were some 10 year old girls there that talked her through it and watched as she tried really hard to be brave in front of her audience. She didn't cry at all. Fhew!

The next day Hailey was baptized. It was such a special day! Hailey has been looking forward to this for a very long time. She has such a pure, sweet testimony of her Savior and she was just glowing the whole day.
A friend let us borrow this dress for the actual baptism that she made for her daughter 15 years ago. It was a little big, but it was much better than those awesome jump suits.

First love both dresses. I was baptized in a dress - a very FULL dress, not too long either - and I was told to tuck the dress between my legs. Didn't know it should have tucked in the front AND BACK of my legs - NOR AFTER I came UP out of the water. :) SOooo I gave everyone a show. I still remember the boy I heard "OOHHH look I can see her underwear!" I was mortified but tried to play it cool. ANyways - so love the cute dress for afterwards too!
And I feel bad - I am soooo out of the loop - I have been trying to go to all the baptisms of the kids I taught when they were 5. I missed hers! Sorry! I am so lame :)

What a special day, Hailey's baptism was! There was such a beautiful spirit there. Well, except for when I chased after Shae clear up on to the stand. I think I may have chased away the Spirit, too-ha!. Anyway, we are so very proud of Hailey Anne, and very proud of her parents for teaching her about the plan of happiness! Love you all!
